Orihime Inoue

Name: Orihime Inoue

Age: 15 (Pre-Timeskip) and 17(Post-Timeskip)

Ability: Shun Shun Rikka

Occupation: High school Student

Hair Colour: Burnt Orange

Family: Sora Inoue (Older brother, deceased)

Orihime is an average high school student, she has brown eyes and long, waist-length, burnt orange hair. Her most noticeable physical trait is her slender yet curvaceous figure for a teenager. She wears her hair in bangs tucked behind her ears with hairpins, which she only removes to sleep. The hairpins were given to her by her brother.

Orihime is independent, humorous, sensitive and a caring girl. She tends to come across as rather naive and clueless, which is at odds with her exceptionally high marks in school. Orihime tends to zone out and lose track of what she was thinking or dreaming about. She has an over-active imagination and gets carried away thinking of implausible scenarios, such as portraying herself as a futuristic and highly destructive robot in an assignment asking a student “How do you see yourself in the future?”

After being targeted by her deceased brother, who had become a hollow, and being rescued by Ichigo, she starts developing supernatural abilities. Wanting to aid Ichigo she secretly trains to become stronger and control her ability.

  • ShunRikka2Ayame –  is part of Shun Shun Rikka’s healing
  • Baigon – is part of Shun Shun Rikka’s defense
  • Hinagiku – is part of Shun Shun Rikka’s defense
  • Lily – is part of Shun Shun Rikka’s defense
  • Shun’ō –  is part of Shun Shun Rikka’s healing
  • Tsubaki –  is Shun Shun Rikka’s only form of attack

Orihime uses her powers to protect and heal her friends as well as a few enemies once they have been defeated or wounded. She develops deep bonds with her friends and tries to get stronger to be of help. Orihime starts off with a crush on Ichigo, the main character of the show, and then later falls in love with him.

Orihime is voiced by Yuki Matsuoka in the original (Japanese and Subbed) version and by Stephanie Sheh in the English dubbed version.

Throughout the series (both the anime and the manga) Orihime slowly grew stronger both in her abilities and her heart.
