Anime and Manga Resolutions 2016

Okay so we all know how New Year resolutions go. It sticks for about a week or two and come Valentineā€™s Day the resolutions are long forgotten. So I have come up with a few resolutions that I am excited to stick with and here they are:

#2 Make one new friend each month that I can discuss anime with. (4).jpg

Now I donā€™t mean every episode of the new anime. Let’s face it, some anime are just not worth suffering through that badly.

Finding like-minded people is important and essential for a happy healthy well-balanced life. I have been lucky enough to make amazing friends that I can talk about anime with for hours and hold anime parties with.

For me this is essential, this lets me go back and really appreciate how far anime has come as well as lets me re-appreciate the amazing storylines and by re-watching, I can take in bits and pieces I missed before as well as allowing me to get a new perspective of the show.

This is where all great anime starts. Thus I feel it is only fair to go back to it and get the story from a new angle and getting to know the characters differently. As manga readers know, the differences between the anime and manga can either be subtle or really extreme.

I know I am not the only one guilty of quickly skipping the intro songs and congratulating myself when you skip to the precise moment when the song ends and the episode begins. Then at the end of an episode going to the next episode before the ending song even has a chance of starting. People work hard on them and there are some really good songs so I shall push myself to watch each intro and ending at least once before skipping past them and avoiding them like the plague. Plus who knows, perhaps I will be adding new awesome songs to my playlist from doing this.

Manga updates regularly when you read many. Sure manga isnā€™t as consistent as an anime but it is hard to keep on top of or either catch up on a manga once you start letting it slide or postponing it.

Those are my six resolutions, do you have any resolutions?

  1. I think I’m making #4 and #5 resolutions of mine as well. I do the exact same thing with the opening and ending songs, and I have shamefully neglected the mangas.
    Nice job!
