Manga That Continues After the Anime #2

I have finally got around to doing a part 2. Below are various manga that have had an anime adaption made. These anime adaptions stopped before completing their stories and have left people wondering what happens next. The good news is that the story did continue on in its manga counterpart.

1 Tenjou Tenge

• Anime episodes: 24

• Genre: Action, Martial Arts and Romance

Souichiro Nagi and Bob Makihara start their first day at Toudou Academy, which is a high-school dedicated to different fighting styles. Their inital desire is to rule the school and instantly beating up their upperclassmen. However the duo are stopped by Maya who sends Nagi flying out of a window and through the girls bathroom roof. However Mayas’s younger sister, Aya is taking a shower at the very same time. The moment Aya lays eyes on Nagi she declares that he will be her husband. The students at Toudou Academy are skilled in the various arts of combat with some students possessing supernatural abilities, such as pyrokinesis, precognition, and some have  superhuman strength based on the abilities to use their “spirit” or “ki” in Japanese. After an altercation with the Executive Council, Souichiro and Bob join the only surviving club that opposes them, the Juken club.

2 Blood Lad

• Genre: Action, Black Comedy, Supernatural

Staz Charlie Blood, is a vampire who lives in the “Demon World”. He is a full fledged Outaku.  One day, a human girl Fuyumi Yanagi, wonders into his world. The two’s first meeting is cut short by the attack of a demon. While Staz as the lord of the area goes to stop the enemy and save his allies Fuyumi is eaten by a carnivorous plant and turned into a ghost. Staz takes responsibility and pledges that he will bring her back to life. He just does not know how. On their journey to bring her back on to life they travel around the demon world. Staz ends up meeting up with the brother he hates, and the sister who hates him.

3 Spice and Wolf

• Genre: Adventure, Fantasy

Kraft Lawrence is a 25-year-old traveling merchant. He peddles various merchandise from town to town to make a living in hopes of one day having his own shop. On one of his travels he stops at the town of Pasloe. When he goes to leave he finds a girl in his wagon claiming that she is a Pagan wolf-deity named Holo. She appears to be a 15-year-old girl, except for a wolf’s tail and ears. Holo wishes to travel with Lawrence to see how the world has changed and to eventually get back to her homeland. As they travel, her wisdom helps increase his profits, but at the same time, her true nature draws unwanted attention from the Church.

4 Sekirei

In the year 2020, 19-year-old Minato Sahashi is extremely intelligent, yet due to his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance exam twice. Then he meets a girl named Musubi who falls out of the sky. Minato soon learns that she is a “Sekirei” who chose him as her “Ashikabi”, one of the mysterious set of humans that have the genetic trait who can make a contract – by kissing – with the Sekirei. Suddenly being bound to Musubi he looses his apartment since the lease is only for one person. Minato soon learns that being the partner of a girl is not all fun and games, especially when several other Sekirei choose him as their Ashikabi, each also forming a contract with him. Now, Minato must find a way to survive both the life-threatening battles of the Sekirei Plan and his partners’ fierce competition for his attention.

5 Vampire Knight

• Genre: School, Romance, Supernatural, Action, Tragedy

Being attacked by a rogue vampire on a stormy snowy night and being rescued by Kaname Kuran who is a Pureblood vampire is Yuki’s earliest memory. Ten years later, Yuki is a prefect keeping the day and night classes separate with fellow prefect, Zero, at Cross Academy. The academy is run by Kaien Cross, Yuki’s adoptive father.  Kaien Cross has become the guardian of the vampire race, protecting Yuki’s childhood crush, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school.  Childhood friend, Zero Kiryu, an orphaned child of famous Vampire Hunters.  Zero’s hatred for vampires, the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear leaves him determined never to trust them. The fragile coexistence at the academy seems to be going well, but will the peace last with so many secrets hidden just beneath the surface? Is all as it seems at the academy and should Yuki remember her forgotten past or should she just let it remain forgotten?
