Best Bleach Zanpakuto

Once again this was a challenge for me to answer. There are just so many to choose from and to limit yourself to picking just a single one.

A few honorable mentions would be:

• Sode no Shirayuki (Rukia)

• Benihime (Urahara)

• Kazeshini (Hisagi)

However the below list is my top Zanpakuto, once again no particular order.

Hyōrinmaru – Toshiro Hitsugaya

The most powerful of the ice zanpakuto with interesting uses. I have seen Hitsygaya’s true Bankai and am really hoping that they animate it because it is really freaking awesome!

Ruri’iro Kujaku – Yumichika Ayasegawa

A sword with a hidden side and a strong personality. The hidden ‘truth’ is a truly beautiful ability that takes out the opponent while nourishing the user. This one really appeals to me. When I say beautiful I am talking appearance, really in actual ability it is ruthless.

Senbonzakura – Byakuya Kuchiki

Speaking of beautiful abilities, what could be prettier than thousands of cherry blossoms? Although yea those ‘petals’ are thousands of blades catching the light.

Looking at the above list, I can instantly tell I went for the aesthetic side of the blade’s abilities over the power, although they are pretty powerful. Those three are my favourite Zanpakuto, however if I had to choose the best based on strength I would be torn between Zangetsu (Ichigo’s) since it keeps improving along with Ichigo to meet with every challenge and Ryūjin Jakka (Yamamoto’s) who has held the title of strongest for over 1 000 years. That is a long time.
