rAge 2017!

Yes, it is that time of year again where my mindset starts shifting gears and prepping for the rAge expo! I am glad to say that I have been accepted as one of the press again this year and I am incredibly grateful for this experience and opportunity.

We are now just over 4 weeks away and it is really getting down to crunch time.

The details:

rAge is SA’s biggest annual video gaming, computer, technology and geek culture exhibition. Being the biggest it is no surprise that thousands of fans descend on the venue every day over the three-day expo for gaming, technology, gadgets, and geek lifestyle entertainment. The anime side falls under ‘geek lifestyle’.

Just keep in mind rAge is an expo. So companies are there to display their goods with a great hope that you will be buying. So what can you actually buy at rAge? You can purchase new games and consoles as well as various merchandise from a wide array of fandoms. Every year I buy a new mouse pad without fail. You can also chat with local comic book artists, or take selfies with your favourite cosplayers.

rAge provides a place for you to touch, feel, try and experiment. There will be plenty to experience from the cosplay contests to new games and exciting new tech. Last year there was a VR centre where you really got a chance to experience immersive virtual reality.
