I decided to try out binge watching an entire anime series per weekend in alphabetical order. Thus I decided to start out with a series starting with a number and picked 07 Ghost at random to watch. When I posted online that I was starting this it got a lot of positive commentary and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that quite a number of people had watched this. It has given me hope for a decent series.

ABOUT 07 Ghost:
Teito Klein, a student at Barsburg Empire’s Military Academy, is one of the most promising soldiers produced. Although ridiculed by everyone for being a former sklave with no memories of his past, he is befriended by a fellow student called Mikage. While preparing for the final exam, Teito uncovers a dark secret related to his past.
My Thoughts on 07 Ghost:
Why is there no season 2? I suppose that works as a great one-liner for letting you know, it’s a good anime. The first episode felt a tad long when watching but it did a brilliant job in setting the character bonds, their world and the premise of the whole plot. For that I was incredibly happy, I knew I wanted to watch more without first having to do my usual, ‘first-5’.
What really drew me in were the characters, their relationships and their development. While some seemed there merely to be a ‘moral-boost’ for our main character, others really had some proper growth. I honestly developed a link with the characters and wanted the best for them. Some points really hurt me and I could feel their pain and their loss clearly.
While parts of the story were somewhat confusing thanks to our MC’s memory loss, it added to the experience and unfolding of the story. I liked that there were no wasted episodes. Each and every episode served to move the story along.
I was really happy when the name of the anime came to make sense. My only real annoyment at the series is some things were said that clearly would be explored and explained later in the story, after the end of season 1. Hence my need for another season. Guess I will just need to hunt down the manga to get my answers. Well played Studio Deen, well played.

Would I recommend this anime? Even though it does not have a second season, I would still recommend this. You can go and complete the story with the manga.

The anime was awesome asf! I started watching this since 2009 (same as the anime published) this anime is old but gold! Even though it got only 25 Episodes but I still recall the 25 Episodes because it’s the only Demon Genre that is special for me. Even though there are many demon Genres but this one is different. This anime will inspire me a lot especially about friendships. I hope for a Season2. Studio Deen if you can read this, please make a Season2. I can’t imagine how the scenes rolls if it’s on manga.
The lack of a follow up season really hurts this. I quite enjoyed 07 Ghost but I’ve only rewatched it once because the ending just leaves me hanging and I kind of need a bit more of a resolution. Still, it was a really interesting watch and I loved some of the more emotional moments. I think you are right and at some point I might need to just go to the source for this one.
