I did a thing. Or rather a couple things to be honest and each one of them were big movements and decisions for me. One of which a lot of people are telling me I am going to regret and I aim to prove them wrong.
So first big decision of the day, I joined Planet Fitness (a gym). Now I can see and understand why people are reacting the way they have but it is still frustrating. There have been so few positive reactions to the news. Rather I have been asked how much am I paying monthly, how long is my contract, have I signed a contract etc…
We have seen people take out gym memberships and regret it so I do understand it.
If I go to gym a minimum of 3 days a week that is only R55 per visit. If I go more, it’s even less. In my opinion, this is a worthwhile investment in myself. Both mentally and physically. Recently I have had low energy levels and feeling quite up and down. I also find that I am easily distracted and take too long to get back to what I was doing.
I would rather spend the money on the gym and not on takeaways as I had been doing. I also pass the gym twice a day. This is something I have been wanting to do for years. I mean from back when I was in high school already. About ten years now. I feel so glad that I have finally taken the plunge.
Then the second big decision I made was to add another admin to my Facebook page. This has brought along it’s own challenges but at the same time it has also offered it’s own rewards and freed up some of my time.
Now all that is left is to rearrange my daily schedule to maximise my use of the gym and see how I can improve on my own.
