10 Anime I am Watching This Summer ’21 Season

Finally, before the change in anime season, I am getting out the list of anime I am looking forward to watching in the next Summer season. The summer season of anime runs from July – September 2021. As what has become normal, the anime season is stuffed with iskeai styled anime. I am going to watch a few of those but I also wanted to get some more varied anime. I also looked for more anime that explored adult themes. I was happy to see that the season does have a few titles that look interesting.

1. Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki

What is it about: When Kazuya Souma is abruptly taken to another world, he realises the people are expecting him to be a hero. But Souma’s definition of heroism is more pragmatic than most: he wants to restore the failing economy of the strange place he’s found himself in! Betrothed to the princess and unexpectedly installed on the throne, this realist hero must assemble a skilled team to assist him in re-establishing the country’s footingā€”not via battle or adventure, but through administrative reform!

2. Uramichi Oniisan

What is it about: Omota Uramichi, 31, is the gymnastics instructor on the children’s educational television show “Together with Mama.” He may appear to be nice on the surface, but all boys and girls are frightened anytime they catch a peek of the grown-up darkness caused by Uramichi-mental sensei’s instability. This is a heartbreaking eulogy to all the “boys and girls” who have grown up!

3. Sonny Boy

What is it about: Boring days, empty classrooms. It was meant to simply be another ordinary summer vacation. Suddenly, the school begins to float into another realm, leaving 36 boys and girls awakened to their magical talents. Surviving in a supernatural world begins in the midst of a maelstrom of questions that come to mind one after the other.

4. Shiroi Suna no Aquatope

What is it about: Kukuru Misakino, an 18-year-old high school student who works at an aquarium, encounters Fuuka Miyazawa, a former idol who has fled Tokyo. Fuuka’s days will be spent in the aquarium, buried in her own thoughts. The aquarium, on the other hand, is on the verge of closing as the ladies explore their dreams and reality, loneliness and friends, relationships and disagreements.

5. Scarlet Nexus

What is it about:  In the year 2020, monstrous creatures known as Others begin to consume people. The Other Suppression Force is established to combat this new foe. Psychokinetic Yuito, who was saved by this elite unit as a youngster, endures the training to enrol. Kasane, on the other hand, was scouted for her ability. Kasane’s dreams, on the other hand, tell her odd things, pulling the two towards an inexorable doom.

6. Meikyuu Black Company

What is it about: Kinji, who lacks any sort of work ethic, is a slacker in modern life. He finds himself transported to another planet one day, but not in the great vision of a hero greeted with open arms. He’s been thrown into a horrible job right away! Kinji is going to learn the true meaning of hard work after being enslaved by an evil mining corporation in a fantasy realm!

7. Re-Main

What is it about: The plot revolves around Minato Kiyoumizu, a young man who left water polo following an event in the winter of his third year of junior high school. After starting high school, he makes a vow to himself and his buddies to play water polo again and join the school’s squad. However, the new squad will encounter difficulties along the road.

8. Vanitas no Carte

What is it about: Vanitas no Carte follows NoĆ©, a young man on a journey on an airship in nineteenth-century Paris in search of the Book of Vanitas. A unexpected vampire assault brings him into contact with the intriguing Vanitas, a doctor who specialises in vampires and, much to NoĆ©’s astonishment, a totally normal human. The enigmatic doctor has inherited both the name and the notorious text from legend’s Vanitas, and he uses the grimoire to treat his patients. But there’s something terrible lurking underneath his pleasant smile.

9. Dinghai Fusheng Lu

What is it about: Immortal skills, magical weapons, magical abilities, and the limitless spiritual qi flowing between heaven and earth suddenly vanished, and all exorcists were reduced to simple humans. When the Five Hus crossed the pass three hundred years later, it marked the beginning of a period of immense instability in China. They signalled the end of the world, as hundreds of drought fiends roamed the night ā€“ the Divine Land is about to collapse. A sixteen-year-old young man embarks on a mission to recover the spiritual Qi of heaven and Earth before dying on his twentieth birthday.

10. D_Cide Traumerei the Animation

What is it about: Ryuuhei Oda looked up to his nice elder brother when he was in elementary school. Ryuuhei, who saw his brother’s unexplained murder, is now a happy high schooler who is unfazed by the looming nightmare that surrounds him. He is bitten by a weird monster one day during kickboxing and has an odd dream.

NEXT SEASONS

Since the below are continuations of anime, I do not really consider them to be ā€˜newā€™ anime per se and thus donā€™t include them in my season list but I still want to mention the sequels I am looking forward to and will be watching.

Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… X

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken 2nd Season Part 2

100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru 2nd Season

  1. Cool to check in and see what others are watching.
That said, tiny problem: literally all the videos started playing the moment I loaded up the page (problem persists when I reload as well), I suddenly regret surfing the web with headphones.
