A few places on the internet claim that April 15th is Anime Day. So I figured, why not just go with it and enjoy the day. There are a lot of things that you can do on Anime Day, other than just watching anime.
Introduce a friend or a family member to anime
There will always be those who ask, ‘why do you watch those cartoons?’
Take this opportunity to teach them what the difference is and encourage them to watch a few episodes of decent anime. Suggest one or two that they would be likely to enjoy and that does not have too many episodes.
Don’t just suggest a gory and violent anime to prove that anime is not cartoons nor is it for children. I have put together an introduction list (11 Introductory Anime for Noobs) if you are unsure of where to start with anime recommendations.
Invest time in learning something new about your favourite anime or the industry
Just because you are a fan of something does not mean that you need to know every single aspect of it. However, improving your general knowledge about a topic can be quite fun in discussions with fellow fans.
Anime Fact: During the 1980s, anime became mainstream in Japan.
