If you’re entering an All Anime Mag competition or giveaway, this is the place to find the general rules.
Thank you for stopping here and actually reading them. I know Terms & Conditions aren’t exactly the most exciting part of entering a giveaway, but they exist for a reason.
These general Terms & Conditions apply to competitions and giveaways run by All Anime Mag unless a particular competition states otherwise.
Individual competition posts may contain additional rules, eligibility requirements, entry limits, closing dates or prize conditions. Always read the rules for the specific competition you are entering.
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. If there is a significant change affecting an active competition, the change will be announced through the relevant competition’s communication channels.
The general rules
1. Eligibility
Unless a specific competition states otherwise, competitions are only open to residents of South Africa.
If a competition has different geographical eligibility, the individual competition post will make this clear.
2. How to enter
Each competition will explain how entries are earned.
You must follow the instructions provided in the relevant competition post for your entry to be valid.
Some competitions may involve comments, questions, creative submissions, social media interaction, or other forms of participation.
There is no automatic requirement to follow, like or tag people unless the individual competition specifically states that it is an entry requirement.
3. Entry limits
Where an entry limit applies, it will be stated in the individual competition rules. If multiple entries are permitted, each entry must comply with the rules.
Duplicate, spam or otherwise invalid entries may be excluded.
4. Invalid entries
An entry may be considered invalid if it:
- does not follow the stated competition instructions;
- exceeds a stated entry limit;
- contains prohibited or disallowed material;
- is submitted after the closing date;
- is fraudulent, deceptive or deliberately attempts to manipulate the competition;
- contains bullying, harassment, threats or abusive behaviour; or
- otherwise does not meet the requirements stated for that competition.
All Anime Mag reserves the right to determine whether an entry is valid.
5. Closing dates
Every competition will have a stated closing date and time. Entries received after the competition has closed will not normally be considered.
6. Selecting winners
The method used to select the winner will be stated in the individual competition.
This may include a random draw, spin-the-wheel draw, judging, selection by the administrator, or another stated method.
Where a competition uses a random draw, eligible entries will be included in the draw.
The method of selection stated in the individual competition is final.
7. Contacting winners
Winners will be contacted using the method stated in the individual competition.
A winner may be required to provide information necessary to arrange delivery or collection of their prize.
If a winner does not respond within the time specified in the competition rules, All Anime Mag reserves the right to select another winner.
8. Prizes
Prizes are as described in the individual competition.
Prizes cannot normally be exchanged for cash or substituted at the winner’s request unless specifically stated otherwise.
Where a competition offers a choice of prize, ticket quantity or other option, the available choices will be explained in the individual competition rules.
9. Previous winners
If you’ve won within the past six months, you’re not eligible to win again, this applies across all simultaneous giveaways too, so if multiple comps are running at once, you can only win one of them.
Unless otherwise stated, there is no general six-month exclusion period.
10. Social media platforms
Competitions may be promoted or hosted on third-party social media platforms.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, competitions run by All Anime Mag are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with the social media platform on which they appear.
Participants are responsible for complying with the relevant platform’s own terms and rules.
11. Changes and cancellation
All Anime Mag reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel a competition where circumstances outside reasonable control make this necessary.
Any significant changes to an active competition will be communicated through the relevant competition’s available channels where reasonably possible.
12. Privacy
Information provided by a winner will only be requested where reasonably necessary to administer the competition, contact the winner, arrange delivery or collection of the prize, or meet applicable legal or administrative requirements.
Do not post private information such as your address, telephone number or other sensitive personal information publicly in competition comments.
13. Fair play
Please don’t be a dick.
Competition entries are supposed to be fun.
Attempts to spam, manipulate, harass other participants, create fake accounts for additional entries, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage may result in entries being removed or a participant being disqualified.
14. The competition-specific rules come first
These are the general Terms & Conditions.
If an individual competition has a rule that differs from one of the general provisions above, the rule published for that specific competition applies to that competition.
Always read the individual competition announcement before entering.
