The tension continues to rise in Mayonaka Punch episode 10 as MayoPan edges closer to their subscriber goal, with only a little over a month left. The girls are feeling the pressure, especially as new revelations and unexpected twists unfold.

MAYONAKA PUNCH Episode 10 – Rampage x Fateful Showdown!

I won’t lie, I missed seeing Yuki in the previous episode so her reporting that Mayonaka Punch has around seven hundred thousand subscribers felt good. I thought the girls had more time, however, they only have a little over a month left to hit their goal. I am stressed for them. 

A vampire does skincare – that’s interesting. I hope we learn a lot more about Yuki in this episode. Her routine is a lot more relatable than the other vampires. Wait, Yuki STREAMS?? And with a gaming channel at that.

MayoPan has a new member? Who and when the heck did that happen? Oh, it’s an Ichiko error. Her trying not to crack made me laugh. I do understand why the group is upset though. So many points in the past few episodes are hinting at getting Masaki in front of the screen. I adore how Ichiko justifies her actions. I appreciated one of the counterarguments to Masaki is that their channel never had balance. I am glad that they are aware of how chaotic and all over the place their channel, and their content is.

The commentary was rough and the fellow vtuber comments were interesting. Yuki’s arrival was fun. The girls not knowing why Yuki is there is valid. I feel like she is mildly hoping that she is going to be the new member. I love that the conversation is discussing the same thing but the participants not being on the same page at all. 

I feel like Yuki had been hoping that they would discover her secret. I genuinely do like Yuki as a character and that she is so diverse. The way Live shuts her down is so harsh. Being laughed at, asked to leave and shut down in that manner – I felt bad for Yuki. Then having her embarrassed freak out in Masaki’s room – brilliant. Especially when Masaki finds her there. I love that we are learning about Yuki and her past gaming addiction.

Masaki randomly offering Yuki her blood was weird and seemed a bit out of place for me. However, I feel that the moment that they shared afterwards was meaningful and a good indicator of their relationship. They understand each other.

I was not expecting the lore drop in this episode along with the backstory between Live and Yuki. Especially with it being depicted in an old game style and setting. It‘s fun but completely unexpected. Couple of things I want to quickly mention – it bothers me that Live refuses to accept Yuki’s request to call her by Yuki, rather than her full name. No matter how many times she has asked. Also, I never noticed they had matching chokers up until this very moment and the story behind them. I do wonder why ‘Mother’ decided to turn the two of them into vampires.

I was wondering if we were ever going to have interactions with Kikka and Otomi (the Hype-Sisters) again and finally they are back on screen. They know how they handled the situation with Masaki was not well handled. The interaction must have been awkward all around outside the food truck. I am glad that they know MayoPan. Please tell me the collaboration I have been yearning to see is not with the Hype-Sisters. Thank you. An eating contest to see if Yuki joins MayoPan is a fun twist and on-brand for their channel. I like it.

Masaki getting drunk while catching up with the duo is disappointing to see. I had hoped she had learnt to hold back, or at least not use alcohol as her coping mechanism. I am happy to learn that MayoPan has more subscribers than what the Hype Sisters have – by more than double. The way that Kikka and Otomi have no consideration for Masakai and her not wanting to be in front of the camera is sad – even if they have had alcohol.  

That is going to be the world’s slowest eating competition. I am so glad Kikka and Otomi at least asked if they could use the video. I am glad that it turned into a positive moment for Masaki and her finding her resolve. Then getting back to the house to find the girls distressed while filming made me smile.

Of course, they had to end the episode like that. Poor Masaki – now I need the next episode. Why do I have to wait until next week?
