“The cat’s out of the bag about Masaki’s involvement with Mayonaka Punch, and the ensuing online reaction leaves Masaki at a loss for what to do.” ~ Crunchyroll

In this episode, I was eager to see how the online community would react to the group’s official introduction of Masaki as part of their channel. Live’s excitement was infectious, setting a hopeful tone as the team edges closer to their deadline.

MAYONAKA PUNCH Episode 11

With just one month left, they’ve planned an intense 100-hour non-stop live stream – a full four days of continuous broadcasting! The pressure is definitely on, and while the members seem overly excited, I find it hard not to feel stressed for them. Some of their streaming ideas, like going through every drive-through and “bread-eating bungee jumping,” sound completely off-the-wall, but I can’t help but wonder if Masaki has a concrete plan or if she’s just winging it at this point.

I had a feeling Masaki’s interaction with the Hype-Sisters in episode ten would lead to some sort of conflict. I am sad I was not wrong. They did Masaki dirty – I really dislike them. Not because of Masaki directly but because their actions have shown they are untrustworthy. The sisters crossed a serious line. Their decision to feature Masaki in their content—especially after she explicitly declined permission—was infuriating. Blurring her face was pointless when they called her an “ex-member” and even mentioned her name. Their actions were clearly calculated to stir drama, and I can’t believe they would stoop so low.

I still want to know the exact reason Masaki punched her ex co-host. They are so delusional. Then they go and drag her through the mud even more. I would be – LIVID.  Then finally that photo I mentioned in episode eight comes to light. I knew it would, I just did not anticipate that it would be tied to the Hype-Sisters. Their manipulative apology feels disingenuous, and it’s clear they knew exactly what they were doing.

MAYONAKA PUNCH Episode 11 Masaki

One of the most impactful aspects of this episode was the portrayal of how negative comments can weigh heavily on someone. It was refreshing to see Masaki still struggling with online negativity, despite her supportive friends. It’s a battle she still needs to face. Just because they are words on a screen does not mean that they do not have weight or an impact on the person reading them. I appreciate Live facing Masaki head-on and saying what needs to be said – while still knowing she won’t actually force her to be in front of the camera.

MAYONAKA PUNCH Episode 11 Live

I knew it was coming yet my heart still hurt for Live due to Masaki’s harsh words. A brief moment to appreciate the colouring and lighting for the scene. The colour and lighting in that scene enhanced the emotional depth beautifully.

Their subscriber count has jumped to 710,000, but with just one month left, they still have a long way to go. Seeing the channel comparisons is rough. I hope the face-to-face interaction with a toxic commenter will go well. That did not go the way I thought.

While I initially thought the episode title suggested Masaki would go missing, the twist came when Live disappeared instead. Another appreciation for the animation team – a reflection shot of Masaki while she is having a reflective moment from her fight with Live. The timing is superb.

MAYONAKA PUNCH Episode 11

Ooh, are we going to learn why Live decided to sleep for twenty years? The masked figure was creepy. This episode got incredibly intense and took a whole new direction that I was not anticipating. I had no idea we were in for a car chase and hunters.  ‘Mother’ really is not fair to the other vampires. To go from one month left in your deadline to a single day is crazy. Doing a full circle and going back to the abandoned hospital from the first episode – I love it. I live for these plot development moments.

Going to sleep to forget your pain and problems? I did not realise Live and I had so much in common. I am glad that Live got through to Masaki and her words had meaning for her. That she took them to heart and believed in them.

MAYONAKA PUNCH Episode 11

The plan to boost their subscriber count by revealing the truth about vampires seems both insane and brilliant. The gathering of the hunters outside the hospital tells me we are in for an intense final episode. I wonder if their live stream will be escaping the hunters and proving that they are vampires and that vampires are real. It will probably gain quite a lot of views and hopefully subscribers.

This episode was a thrilling blend of emotional depth, plot twists, and high stakes. From the Hype-Sisters’ betrayal to Live’s poignant confrontation with Masaki, the story keeps building toward an epic finale. The addition of vampire hunters and the return to the abandoned hospital raises the tension to a whole new level. As the group inches closer to their goal, Episode 12 promises to deliver an action-packed conclusion, and I can’t wait to see how they tackle their final challenge. Will their crazy plan to prove vampires exist work? We’ll find out soon! Since I watched this a few weeks late I can thankfully dive straight into the next episode.

One question answered:

  • Who leaked Masaki’s role in the channel, and how will this affect their subscriber count and her decision to return to the screen? The Hype-Sisters as I thought and it has led to Masaki wanting to run away from being in front of the camera again.
