Today, I faced a bittersweet task that weighed heavily on my heart. As I revisited the blogs I’ve cherished for years, I realised just how much time has passed—how many voices have gone quiet. It’s a stark reminder of how long I’ve been away from this community, and the silence left behind by those who once filled my feed with passion and creativity stings more than I expected. But with each farewell, there’s also a spark of hope—a hope to reconnect, to find new voices, and to once again be an active part of this incredible anime and manga community.

I have been following most of these blogs since 2015. I had grown fond of them and attached. This morning I said my farewells (unsubscribed) to:
Saechao Circulation, Sleeping Geeks, The geekout-let, Supernova’s Blog, Dawn’s Bookshelf, paperkatana, Animes♪Manga, Kiro’s Corner, Manga fans aboard!, The Otaku-Don, Kurumi Shim’s Blog, Kpop9019, ARCHI-ANIME, Weekend Otaku, Welcome to the DaBoogie blog!, Postcard Memories, Anime QandA, Gemz of Life, theanimessenger, Yahari Bento, The Only Shinyuu Site, Marth’s Anime Blog, PopAsia,
I created this list so that every now and then I can check back in. See if they have revived their blog and resubscribe at any time. I can hold on to the hope. If you are still around but no longer posting, just know I appreciated your content and wish I had been more engaging and active. I miss you and your blog. If you started up a new blog, let me know.
There are some blogs that I have been reading that have just vanished. Everything removed. They honestly are the ones that started my deep dive into my subscriptions in the first place.
Here are the blogs I am hoping make a reappearance soon since their last post was in the last year or two:
TakaCode Reviews, Al’s Manga Blog, Mel’s Universe
Now onto the hunt for members in our community, I am looking to connect and find new blogs. I have found out why my ‘Reader’ was so slow to update. Now I want to create a page inspired by Crow’s World of Anime, where I can track my fellows and actively seek out their content. Not just wait for it to appear in my ‘Reader’ feed. Actually, no. I am just going to keep a more active and engaging eye on Crow’s list. The page has now been bookmarked.

Also, I want to know, what tags are you using? Where can I find your content? For me I have been mainly using the below hoping to reach my fellows and also find them:
- Anime
- Anime blog
- otaku blog
- anime otaku
- anime blogger
- anime otaku blog

As I step back into this world, I carry both the memories of the voices that have faded and the hope of discovering new ones. This journey is as much about reconnecting with old friends as it is about finding new connections. The anime and manga community has always been a place of shared passion, creativity, and understanding—things I deeply missed during my time away. So, if you’re out there, whether you’re an old friend or someone new, I’m here, ready to engage, share, and be a part of this incredible community once more. Let’s continue this journey together.
