Welcome to the Alphabetical Journey through Anime, a new series that I am launching on my blog and social media platforms. The idea and series are rather simple. The overall goal is to have fun, learn something new, and interact with other anime fans.
How will it work?
Each Saturday morning, I will post a prompt asking, “Can you name an anime starting with [random letter]?” This will be posted across my social media platforms and communication channels. Along with this, I will post here on the blog a list of 10 anime that start with that same letter.
The Alphabetical Journey through Anime starts this Saturday, January 6th, 2024 with the letter A
Are there any rules?
Balancing the Romanji and the English-translated titles for this post is going to be interesting. Example: Shingeki no Kyojin (Romanji) vs. Attack on Titan (English)—should this anime be listed under S or A? For the purpose of getting others involved and engaging, I do not mind. Either will work, or both will be mentioned in their respective posts on various social media platforms.
However, for the purpose of this series on my blog, I shall try to exclusively use anime titles that start with the specified letter in both the Romanji and English titles. Except for anime regarding a certain word.
Which brings me to categorising anime that start with the word “the.”. There are a few ways I can go about this. I can either accept this as anime starting with a T or place it in the alphabetical list that the next word starts with. Example: The Boy and the Beast can either go with B’s list or T. I will be happy to see both mentioned on my social profiles, yet for my blog, these will not be listed on T’s list when I get to it as a general anime starting with T. As such, each post will contain at least one anime title stating with a “the”.
What is the purpose of the Alphabetical Journey through Anime?
The series is here to help my fellows get anime recommendations, learn about anime that they may not have heard of before, and encourage communication and interaction amongst us in the community.
I thought I would start 2024 off with a new series that combines both the blog here and its social media in a way that can get others involved as well as be a fun, friendly, non-forceful way to get people to my blog from my socials and from my socials to my blog. I am looking forward to redeveloping an interactive series with my readers and followers. I feel that I have lost the connection with my followers and readers, and I want to build it up again.
I also want to get the playful side back, and this is just the first step. I have many things in the works to bring fun and activity to my community. I look forward to the next twenty-seven weeks and the weeks thereafter. I have lots planned follow-ups and continuations of this series.
