The show’s premise, centred around time travel, aliens, and occult mysteries, is undeniably intriguing and sets the stage for a unique and unpredictable story.
The characters are well-developed and engaging, each with their own quirks and motivations. Maya’s initial scepticism towards the occult and her gradual acceptance of the extraordinary events surrounding her provide a compelling character arc. Fumiaki’s determination to save the world, coupled with his fish-out-of-water humour, adds a lighthearted touch to the otherwise serious plot.
The animation is visually appealing, with vibrant colours and detailed backgrounds that bring the world of Waldstein Academy to life. The action sequences are well-choreographed and exciting, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

Mikaze’s enigmatic personality, combined with her mysterious background and connections to the occult, makes her someone that I couldn’t fully trust.

Smile and JK bring a unique and refreshing energy to the series. Smile, with his laid-back attitude and technical expertise, often provides comic relief and a sense of calm amidst the chaos. His witty remarks and unflappable nature make him both endearing and entertaining to watch. JK, on the other hand, is quirky and eccentric, with a deep passion for dowsing and the occult. His dedication to his craft and his earnestness, despite sometimes being a bit out there, makes him a charming and memorable character. Both characters balance the darker, more serious aspects of the series with their lightheartedness and dedication to their respective roles, making them stand out as favourites for me.
