Sometimes you just want to kick up your feet, relax and indulge in a longer series. During a longer series, you get a proper chance to get to know the characters and the world they live in.
1 Fairy Tail
Lucy is a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isn’t just any ordinary kid, he’s a member of one of the world’s most infamous mage guilds: Fairy Tail.
2 Kimi no Iru Machi
The plot primarily follows the two characters Haruto Kirishima and Yuzuki Eba. Yuzuki moved from Toyko to her father’s rural hometown in the Hiroshima Prefecture. Given that Haruto’s father is an acquaintance of Yuzuki’s father, the Kirishima’s take her into their home. Haruto is not keen of the situation because he believes that Yuzuki is a complete stranger and that a girl his same age, who is not a relative, living in the same home will cause complications for him. The misunderstanding he wants to avoid the most is that they are a couple because he already likes his classmate, Nanami Kanzaki. The problem is that Yuzuki has romantic feelings for Haruto and is not timid in pursuing a relationship. A Town Where You Live plot principally makes use of dramatic structure to facilitate character development. The story takes a realistic tone of the lives of high school freshman. The story’s setting is based on Kouji Seo’s hometown.
Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability does not change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family; but much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged Soul Reaper himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits and, along with Rukia–who is slowly regaining her powers–it is Ichigos job to protect the innocent from Hollows and help the spirits themselves find peace.
4 Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
Sakura and Syaoran return, but they’re not the people you know. Sakura is the princess of Clow – and possessor of a mysterious, misunderstood power that promises to change the world. Syaoran is her childhood friend and leader of the archaeological dig that took his father’s life. They reside in an alternate reality… where whatever you least expect can happen – and does. 5 Black Clover
Aster and Yuno were abandoned together at the same church, and have been inseparable since. As children, they promised that they would compete against each other to see who would become the next sorcerous emperor. However, as they grew up, some differences between them became plain. Yuno was a genius with magic, with amazing power and control, while Aster could not use magic at all, and tried to make up for his lack by training physically. When they received their grimoires at age 15, Yuno got a spectacular book with a four-leaf-clover (most people receive a three-leaf-clover), while Aster received nothing at all. However, when Yuno was threatened, the truth about Aster’s power was revealed that he received a five-leaf-clover grimoire, a “black clover” book of anti-magic. Now the two friends are heading out in the world, both seeking the same goal!
6 Ah My Goddess
Keiichi, a student at Nekomi Institute of Technology, calls a wrong number and ends up invoking Belldandy, goddess of the present. Belldandy grants him one wish, and he says: “I want you to stay forever”. The wish is approved, and Keiichi is shortly thrown out of his all-male dorm. He settled in an old temple and is eventually joined by Belldandy’s sisters Urd, troublemaking goddess of the past, and Skuld, mecha freak and goddess of the future.
Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the nine-tailed demon fox attacked Konohagakure. It was a powerful demon indeed; a single swing of one of its nine tails would raise tsunamis and flatten mountains. It raised chaos and slaughtered many people until the leader of the Leaf Village – the Fourth Hokage – defeated it by sacrificing his own life to seal the demon inside a newly-born child. 10 Fruits Basket
After the accident in which she lost her mother, 16-year-old Tooru moves in with her grandfather, but due to his home being renovated, is unable to continue living with him. Claiming she will find someone to stay with but also fearing the criticism of her family and not wanting to burden any of her friends, Tooru resorts to secretly living on her own in a tent in the woods. One night on her way back from work, she finds her tent buried underneath a landslide. Yuki Souma, the “prince” of her school, and his cousin Shigure Souma, a famous author, stumble across Tooru’s situation and invite her to stay with them until her grandfather’s home renovations are complete.
11 Hunter x Hunter
Hunters are a special breed, dedicated to tracking down treasures, magical beasts, and even other men. But such pursuits require a license, and less than one in a hundred thousand can pass the gruelling qualification exam. Those who do pass gain access to restricted areas, amazing stores of information, and the right to call themselves Hunters.
12 Mahou Sensei Negima
Ten-year-old prodigy Negi Springfield has just graduated from magic academy, and in order to become a master mage, he is sent to Japan to teach English at an all-girls middle school.
