What is one anime you feel people should give a chance?
Say it with your full chest. I have six Friday tickets to Comic Con Africa 2026 to give away across three community competitions, and this is the first one.
I don’t need your five-paragraph defence of your favourite anime. You don’t need to rate it. You don’t need to convince me that its animation, soundtrack or character development changed your life.
For your entry, just drop the name of an anime in the comments.
For me? Kotaro Lives Alone and also Soul Land. Now I want yours.

What counts as anime for this giveaway?
I’m using “anime” a little more broadly than its strict Japanese definition here.
Japanese anime is obviously a focal for me, but so are Chinese donghua and Korean aeni. If it’s that Korean or Chinese animated series you’ve been desperately trying to convince your friends to watch, I want to hear about it.
There is one exception:
No hentai. Hentai titles are invalid entries. That includes using something such as Boku no Pico as a trap or joke recommendation.
I want genuine recommendations.
How to enter
Comment with an anime title you think people should give a chance.
That’s it.
Each valid comment is one entry, and you may leave up to 5 entries per platform. Each of your entries must be a different anime.
So:
- Comment 1: One Piece = 1 entry
- Comment 2: Naruto = 1 entry
- Comment 3: Bleach = 1 entry
That’s three entries across 3 comments.
- 1 Comment: One Piece + One Piece + One Piece = Only 1 entry.
- 1 Comment: One Piece + Naruto + Bleach = Only 1 entry.
- Or commenting the same anime repeatedly = Only 1 entry.
- Comment 1: One Piece = 1 entry
- Comment 2: One Piece = 0 entry
- Comment 3: One Piece = 0 entry
Someone else choosing the same anime as you is completely fine. If ten different people recommend One Piece, all ten can have a valid entry. You just can’t repeat your own answer to create extra entries. And please put one anime per comment. Five anime in one comment still equals one entry.

Replies, GIFs and stickers
Replies to other people’s comments can count as entries too, as long as your reply includes your own eligible anime recommendation. If you agree with somebody’s choice, tell them. Half the fun here is discovering who else is still obsessed with the same series.
Bullying, harassment, aggression and abusive comments will not count. GIFs and stickers are also welcome, but name the anime in the comment so I know what you’re recommending.
The prize
The overall giveaway has 6 Friday tickets to Comic Con Africa 2026 available. Thank you Comic Con Africa for making this giveaway possible!
If your name is drawn, you can choose 1 or 2 tickets.
- If you want to take someone with you, take two.
- If you only need one, take one.
I’ll then tally the remaining tickets and continue drawing winners until all six have been allocated.
