Comic Con Africa 2026 Giveaway #2: If You Were Only Going to Read One, Read This

Readers, this one is ours. As an avid reader and with the excitement these giveaways seem to have, I have decided to rework giveaway 2 so we are skipping ahead to the third planned of my three Comic Con Africa 2026 Friday ticket giveaways, and this time I don’t want to know what everyone should watch.

I want to know what they should read regarding manga, manhwa, manhua or webtoon. If you could put one series in front of another person and say:

“If you’re only going to read one, read this.”

What would it be?

Give me the title

In-game isekai moment in Isekai Craftsman: A Relaxing Tale of Chilling and Building from Scratch manga, black and white panel of smiling girl with flower hair accessory and black-haired boy in fantasy outfits, viewed from low angle in dynamic style.

You don’t need to write a review. You don’t need to defend your taste. You don’t have to tell me it’s a 10/10 masterpiece that changed your understanding of storytelling. It doesn’t even have to be a 10/10, just a series you enjoyed.

Just give me the title.

If you happen to know where it can be read legally, I’d love it if you included that too. It could make it easier for somebody discovering your recommendation in the comments to actually go and try it.

If you don’t know where it’s available, that’s completely fine. Your entry still counts.

For this giveaway, your recommendation can be:

Manga
manhwa
manhua
webtoon

The point is simple: recommend something people can or rather should read.

How entries work

Each valid comment containing one eligible recommendation is 1 entry. You can have up to 5 entries per platform. Those need to be five different recommendations.

For example:

Berserk = 1 entry
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint = 1 entry
The Apothecary Diaries = 1 entry

Three comments, three entries. If you recommend Berserk five times, that’s still only one entry.

You may absolutely recommend something another person has already mentioned. You’re not expected to read every comment before entering. The restriction is simply that you cannot repeatedly submit the same title yourself for extra entries.

And remember: one series per comment. Listing five series in one giant comment gives you one entry, not five.

You can enter directly in the comments underneath this post. The blog is one of the official entry locations, so you don’t need a particular social media account to participate.

If somebody recommends one of your favourites, reply to them. A genuine reply can count as an entry if the reply contains your own eligible recommendation.

Part of the reason I’m running these competitions this way is because I want the answers to become useful beyond the giveaway itself. I want to see what you’re reading, find things I’ve missed and use the responses to help shape future community posts on the blog and socials.

Bullying, harassment, aggression and abusive replies will not count. GIFs and stickers need to be accompanied by the series name to qualify.

Across all three competitions, I’m giving away 6 Friday tickets to Comic Con Africa 2026. If your name comes up in a draw, you choose whether you want 1 ticket or 2.

You don’t need to find a plus-one just because you’ve won. Equally, if you don’t want to go alone, you can take two. I’ll continue drawing eligible winners as necessary until all six available tickets have been allocated.
