Tatsumi, an Innocent and Passionate Assassin

This post is a simple look at who Tatsumi was as a character in the anime, Akame Ga Kill. I have kept the character break down as spoiler-free as I could.

Looks

Green eyed Tatsumi has mid-length brown hair with a fringe that falls on his face. He changes outfits throughout the series. He is first seen wearing a white, high collar jacket with a tan sweater vest, a pair of black pants, brown gloves and combat boots. He then switches it to a more traditional white assassin jacket over a slim purple hoodie and a black base layer shirt with black jeans. Once he inherits his teigu, he carries Incursio with a chain-link tassel at the hilt, in its sheath. He has a lean but muscular build and considered average regarding his height of 165cm.

Akame ga Kill Tatsumi character break down

Tatsumi is not really much of a strategist and tends to fight without much strategy and tends to fight without it. He relies more on instinct and muscle memory. However, with all of his training and battles with Night Raid he has developed the skill to be aware of his surroundings and what is going on around him. He also learns to wield a spear while working with Night Raid.

He had started off with a short broadsword. He proved himself skilled when he held his own against skilled and strong opponents like Captain Ogre as well as lasting against Teigu users like Zanku and Nyau when he did not have a Teigu of his own. Once he did inherit Incursio from Bulat, he was quick to learn how to use it and become a proficient user. As he evolves his Teigu his physical abilities of speed and strength also improve. Tatsumi is also skilled in hand to hand combat with fast and sure movements. All of this makes him a really skilled and well-rounded warrior.
