10 Necromancer Reads

My latest obsession has been reading manga, webtoons, manhua, and manhwa that have a focus on necromancers. It started with “Skeleton Soldier Couldn’t Protect the Dungeon,” and then I heard my fiance listening to a narration of a necromancer story. This has since spiralled into my latest binge reads and thus this post. I figured it was perfect for the spooky season of October and Halloween.

What is a necromancer?

A necromancer is a person who can revive the dead and control them. It can be done using a variety of methods; but mainly with magic, sorcery, or an ability class. Necromancy lets the necromancer communicate with the dead, manipulate them, and even reanimate or revive them, bringing them back from the dead. Acts of necromancy is often taboo and has consequences, usually driving necromancers to insanity or stripping them of their humanity.
