During Pokémon Week I shared a fact a day but I had found so many fun Pokémon facts that I decided I would share some of the others I had found here. I have included facts about Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, devolving Pokémon, the games, the anime, manga and even the cards. I hope you enjoy the below.

The first Pokémon in the Pokédex is Bulbasaur. From the moment this Pokémon is born, it has a plant seed on its back. The seed gradually swells in size. Bulbasaur is a Pokémon that is both a grass and a poison type. It is vulnerable to Pokémon of the fire, psychic, flying, and ice types.
2. Of the three starters, which Pokémon would Ash have chosen?
In the anime, if Ash could have taken one of the 3 starter Pokémon, he would have chosen Squirtle, followed by Bulbasaur and then Charmander.

6. What was the article about Pokémon in Time Magazine?

Pokémon are food in the Pokémon world. As shown in episode 16, when adrift in the ocean and starving, everyone started fantasising about how to prep and eat Magikarp. There is also talk of Farfetched being incredibly delicious when cooked with leek. Jesse and James even discussed how to cook Togepi’s egg before it hatched. Which makes sense, as in the Poké-world, Pokémon are the animals (and in some cases. plants). Thus it makes sense that some Pokémon are food.

4Kids Entertainment’s first Pokérap for the Pokémon anime was the Kanto Pokérap. It was designed to include the first 150 Pokémon that were available at the time. At the end of each episode, two verses would be played, and by the end of a five-day week, all of the verses would have been sung. This lasted from Pokémon episode 1: I Choose You! to episode 57: The Breeding Center Secret.
